We all grew up singing:
“Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream…”
It seems to promise that letting go is easy—that life will simply drift along like a dream.

But real release isn’t always gentle. Sometimes we’re called to row upstream, working against old patterns or fears until we find the current that aligns with our deepest truth and values. Other times, we’re called to stop rowing altogether and simply be fully present.

The lesser-known verses of the old folk song remind us that life’s waters aren’t always smooth. They splash, swirl, and sometimes roar—but through it all, we are carried by the river’s flow. Letting go doesn’t end movement; it transforms it.

When we release what no longer serves, we don’t stop rowing—we begin to navigate with rhythm and purpose, aligned with the infinite flow of abundant good.
