Spirit's call is not simply to adapt to change, but to engage it in a way that's spirtually expansive and humanly transformative. Join us for Rev. Kurt Condra's lesson with inspired vocals by Felena Bunn and accompaniment by Dennis Luxion. Click Service to register for the Sunday service.
VIRTUAL SACRED LISTENING CIRCLE VIA ZOOM ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 AT 5:30 PM CT. Unity on the North Shore is experiencing a period of transition and change. In the midst of a global pandemic, climate, change, and social justices issues, we ourselves are considering the sale of our building and moving to a new spiritual home. While change and anxiety are natural parts of our life experience, it is how we navigate and adapt to change that will determine our new future. Join Rev. Greg Coles in a sacred time of holding space to presence and give voice to the feelings that change is bringing up for our spiritual community. Each person will be invited to share from their heart about the changes they are experiencing or would like to see for UNS. Click VIRTUAL CIRCLE to register for that session.
Art has been a conduit of healing since the dawn of humankind. Artist Gerry Lang will share his personal journey of transforming and healing grief through art, and then guide you in a creative experience of imagining and bringing to life your own transforming works of art. We'll have art supplies (for painting, drawing), but feel free to bring your own (no ceramics, please). This workshop takes place over the course of a week: You'll meet Monday - Friday, September 27 - October 1 from 6 - 8 pm to explore, share, and create art. On Saturday, October 2 from Noon - 2 pm, invite friends and family, for an exhibition and sharing of healing stories. The workshop is FREE! Click HEALING to register.
Once again, UNS will participate in Church World Service's CROP Hunger Walk, but this year's walk will be a little different, as it will be virtual. As a community of faith, let's join together to rid the challenge of disease, disaster, displacement, and other concerns that leave people hungry. Join us as we raise funds to help neighbors near and far get the meals they need for today and sustainable food security for tomorrow! Sign up to be a "walker" (fundraiser) or make a donation to the UNS team by Sunday, October 17: https://events.crophungerwalk.org/2021/team/unity-on-the-north-shore.
With the return to in-person services, our virtual time of spiritual food and fellowship has shifted to Mondays. Sharon Meyers shares recipes and facilitates a spirit-filled discussion on the minister's lesson from the previous day. Click CHAT to register for the next session.
