I so appreciate when God/Source/The Universe (call it what you may) sends me little love notes… little nudges that say, “I see you. Keep going. You’re on the right path.” In a previous blog I referred to these as breadcrumbs marking our trail.

Last month I delivered a sermon that was about our inherent light as divine beings. Then, a few days ago I visited the incredible art exhibit “Exquisite Creatures” by Christopher Marley. Imagine my delight when the very first placard I read, authored by Marley himself, was titled Lumens to Love. It was placed next to a gorgeous display of sea urchins lit from behind with a light that faded in and out, forever shifting and changing the composition.

Marley wrote, “If simply shining an LED through the exoskeleton of a creature as rudimentary as an urchin can reveal such unexpected intricacy, color, and elegance, what might analogous illumination reveal about the inner beauty of neighbors, strangers, even adversaries. What kind of light might we shine on the souls of humanity, beginning with ourselves, that could unveil such worth, understanding, and beauty?”

This is a call to lifts others up. In a world where you can be so many things, choose to be the person who illuminates the path for those around you. Use your light to help others glow with their own beauty and divinity.

Much Love,
Jasmine

P.S. The photo of me having my fortune told by Zoltar has little to do with this blog entry, except it was taken at an adjacent exhibit on the day of my museum visit. So fun!
