On the first Sunday of each year, we undertake a sacred practice of spiritual discernment, prayerfully choosing a word or phrase that represents who we are becoming in the year ahead. This ritual is known as the White Stone Ceremony because the word that is revealed is written on a small white stone, which serves as a tangible reminder of our intention. The power does not come from the stone itself, but from the spiritual consciousness, clarity, and focused intention we bring to the practice.  Anyone can replicate this ritual at home using a stone, a card, or any meaningful object to hold their word.
 
In this testimonial, Danny Bauer shares how returning to this practice year after year has helped him recognize unfolding guidance and experience tangible transformation in his life:
I wanted to share my experience with the white stone ceremony.

In 2023 the white stone phrase I wrote was "bravery."  hat year I pushed myself to publish as much online content as possible and be brave about posting and putting myself out there and I grew a lot.

In 2024 my word was "creative community." I focused on live shows and bringing people together and trying to be creative with people. It wasn't super clear to me I found a creative community until August when I joined Sneezy - a creative community to travel the country with.

This year, 2025, my phrase was "international influencer." In February Sneezy played on the jam cruise which took me international for my first time, and I got to do it playing music in my creative community. I had sort of forgotten about the "Influencer" side of that but remembered it because of Sunday's service. As of yesterday, I had one of my Instagram videos get 400,000 views, which feels like influencer status - or at least the start of it.

All this to say - the white stone ceremony has had an extremely positive impact in my life!
