Historically, March 1st weather is reliably crappy. I know because it's my mom's birthday. In her 80 years, she can count on one hand the number of sunny birthdays she's enjoyed. I love that she notices the pattern, but doesn't let it dampen her spirits. In fact, for her, a March 1 forecast of grey, muddy, gloomy weather has itself become a cause to celebrate.
It's a consciousness worthy of emulating. Most folks who understand thoughts create experience are fairly well practiced at accepting "what is" or "being in the now." It takes an even higher level of thinking to celebrate it -- especially in circumstances most view as negative.
It's the level of consciousness Jesus calls us to emulate when he says, "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
He's telling us that peace, love and joy are ours to claim to the degree that we're able to release judgement of conditions, self and others. Do this and you'll experience " a level of unconditional love that can in no way be threatened by the things and ideas of this world," Rev. Ed Townley writes in his book, The Secret According to Jesus.
Start now...by having a gloriously grey first day of March!
