America Meditates / Evanston Meditates
Wednesday, July 24, 7:30 pm (Doors open at 7 pm)
Join this nationwide meditation session to create a shift in consciousness and inspire a healthier, more peaceful populace.  The event is free and open to all, as we view the live broadcast event from Denver, Colorado (click Meditation for event details).  By bringing people together in a historic group meditation, guided by one of the most powerful meditation experts of our time, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, America Meditates will raise awareness and inspire the public to stand together for better mental wellbeing.  This event honors the 20th anniversary of the Columbine shooting.

UNS Annual Potluck Barbecue Picnic
Sunday, August 25 after the service
Fun, food, and fellowship.  UNS provides the hot dogs, burgers, and veggie burgers; you sign up to supply buns, salads, sides, desserts or beverages.  Games and prizes for the kids.  See the sign up sheet in the Atrium in July.

Unity World Day of Prayer 24-Hour Prayer Vigil
Wednesday, September 11, 6 pm - Thursday, September 12, 6 pm
Sign up for a one-hour (or more) slot to hold in the consciousness the prayer requests of our spiritual community and to heighten prayer energy around the world.  This year's theme is "Infinite Presence, Unlimited Potential."  If you can't take part in the Vigil at UNS, we invite you to hold this year's affirmation: "I celebrate the vast possibilities for my life" in heart and mind.

Interfaith Block Party
Saturday, September 14 from 11 am - 5 pm
A fun day of celebrating our differences and the sacred bonds of our Oneness.  Interact with different faiths in the World Religions Walk; enjoy live entertainment; experience food, games, activities; and our Canopy of Humanity: an interactive art installation.  Tickets are available HERE.  We're also looking for volunteers to help run the event.  Call the Church Office at 847-864-8977.

5th Sunday Potluck Fellowship Sunday
The 5th Sundays of the year (Next potluck is September 29)
We invite our congregants to bring in a dish, salad, or dessert to share during our time of fellowship after service.  No sign-up necessary; we'll remind you the Sunday before, and just bring whatever you'd like!  Homemade or store-bought, it's up to you!  In the interest of serving others, please plan to pitch in with either set-up or clean-up.

Gentle Thursdays ~ Restorative Yoga and Meditation

A Course in Miracles is a spiritual path that helps to remove the blocks that keep one from experiencing God's Love.
