Class: The Universe is Calling
Wednesdays, Sept. 17, 24; Oct. 10, 17, 24; 6:30 - 8:30 pm
$15/class or $50 for 5-class series
Based on Eric Butterworth's classic text, this course will explore our connection to the Divine through prayer.  We will examine how a deeper understanding of prayer principles and methods enhances our prayer practice.  Discover how applying prayer concepts supports the expansion of our spiritual consciousness.

Uniteen PastaPalooza Fundraiser 
Sunday, September 23 after the Service
Our Uniteens serve up a delicious meal of regular, gluten-free, and vegetarian pasta dishes, garlic bread, salad and dessert.  $10/plate or $25/family.  Proceeds support their attendance at the Fall Unitreat.

Join the UNS CROP Hunger Walk Team
Walk Date/Time: Sunday, October 14 at 2 pm, First Presbyterian Church, Evanston
Pre-Registration Required.  Sign up in the Atrium and take a Walker's packet.  Then ask family, friends, co-workers, neighbors to sponsor your walk.  The CROP Hunger Walk supports local organizations that feed our homeless neighbors and children in need.  Enjoy a wonderful walk along the lakefront with your UNS friends and hundreds of others.  You'll get in some exercise while doing good for the world.  This is a great activity for the whole family.  See Team Captain Kate Jordan for more info.

Book Discussion: Interracial Relationships Between Black Women and White Men

Singer/songwriter and spiritual practitioner, Megon McDonough, creates a mid-week oasis of peace, joy, and spirit on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings of each month.  Each evening will include music, meditation, and a healing prayer treatment.

We invite our congregants to bring in a dish, salad, or dessert to share during our time of fellowship after service.  No sign-up necessary; we'll remind you the Sunday before, and just bring whatever you'd like!  Homemade or store-bought, it's up to you!  In the interest of serving others, please plan to pitch in with either set-up or clean-up.  We'll also get updates on current UNS initiatives.
