Be Light. Show the Way.

By Rev. Kurt Condra

Christmas, Hanukkah, winter solstice and Kwanzaa:
All have one element in common -- Light.

In these darkest days of the year, twinkling tree lights, flickering menorahs, and glowing Kwanzaa candelabrums all celebrate the power of light to overcome darkness. Each tradition, in its own way, reminds us that we're to be the bearers of light, and that beyond differences in age, able-ness, color, gender, orientation, affiliation, nationality, or any other labels that separate, together we are the light of the world.

It's a message beautifully conveyed in a music video celebrating the brilliant light of an extraordinary Rabbi whose light shines brightly even through the heavy veil of A.L.S. Watch and see if your own light doesn't shine a bit more brightly.

"Shine a Little Light" was written and composed years ago by Rabbi Yitzi Hurwitz. He is currently challenged with ALS and yet continues to inspire with his joy and faith.
