	WELCOME TO UNITY CHURCH ON THE NORTH SHORE! No matter who you are or where you've been, you are welcome here. We invite you to join us on our journey of exploring and experiencing a greater awareness of God. Join us this Sunday at 10:30am for our weekly Sunday Worship Service. Spiritual Sunday School for children and teens meets during the service. WELCOME NEW SENIOR MINISTER, REV. KURT CONDRA! Rev. Kurt's first Sunday with us will be October 17th, 2010. Kurt Condra is committed to demonstrating unconditional love and empowering others to claim their innate divinity so that together, we might experience and demonstrate the joy, grace and blessings of God's love in our lives, our communities, our nations and our world. Currently serving as Associate Minister at Unity Church of Dallas, he has participated in every aspect of church ministry and operations in one of the Unity Movement's largest churches. In his six years there, he has served as a stable and compassionate presence in the midst of great change and understands first-hand the seasons and cycles of leading a spiritual community. Ordained by the Association of Unity Churches in June 2004, he was introduced to Unity in 1994 and joined Unity Community Church in Laguna Hills, CA shortly after, where he served as board president and director of communications. Prior to his ministerial career, Kurt worked in publishing. In pre-Internet days, he worked for both the Los Angeles Times and San Francisco Chronicle in their electronic media divisions. He then switched to print media serving as an editor for Newport Communications, a small trade magazine publisher. Eventually named its Managing Editor, he directed production of all five of the company's titles. As part of his journey into ordained ministry he also worked for two years as an administrator for St. George's Episcopal Church in Laguna Hills, CA. He holds a communications degree from Cal State-Fullerton.	Upcoming Events *Adult Education Class: Discover the Power within You, by Eric Butterworth* Join Rev. Tuesdays at 7pm Class runs five weeks, starts Sept 7 World Day of Prayer - Prayer Service and Vigil People of all faiths and walks of life are welcome to participate in this special service launching a 24-hour prayer vigil. The service will feature prayers from representatives of the world's major religions. Join hundreds of thousands of people across the globe in prayers of peace, healing, harmony, and understanding. Wednesday, September 8, 7pm Unity Basics Workshop This workshop is an introduction and overview of how to develop a prayer life. We will discuss the types of prayer you use now and the four types of Prayers based on Unity Principles: General, Denial, Affirmation, and Meditation. (This workshop is Mandatory for Prayer Chaplain Training.) Workshop Leader: Nancy Good September 11, 9am - 11am Wizard of Oz Spiritual Sunday School Open House All children from birth through high school are welcome to join us as we kick-off our Spiritual Sunday School year with a special Wizard of Oz theme. We'll have special snacks, face painting and characters in costume (or wear your own costume!).
